Ammara Kazmi has been practicing in progressive corporate legal practices, involving contentious and non-contentious matters of Energy (Oil,
Gas & Electricity), Banking and Finance, Real Estate Development, Intellectual Property, E-Commerce including but not limited to matters related
to Regulatory framework of Pakistan. Ms. Kazmi also has an extensive expertise in drafting corporate and commercial documents, has conducted
Suits, Petitions, Appeals pertaining to Civil, Constitutional and Taxation matters before District and High Courts across Pakistan, including active
participation in Arbitration proceedings in a number of high-profile cases. She has assisted senior renowned lawyers like Mr. Waseem Sajjad ASC,
Mr. Akram Sheikh ASC, in matters subjudice before Supreme Court.
Ms. Kazmi has advised extensively and made representation on behalf of IESCO, FESCO, MPCL, PPIB, FFC, AWT, SBP, NIBAF Ministry of Education,
Several Divisions and many other private entities on all legal matters. Ms. Kazmi has practiced law for more than eight years and has now joined
hands with the partner of “Azam & Rai Advocates & legal Consultants” to widen the scope and availability of legal services nationally and
internationally.
Accomplishments & Participation:
• 2021: Represented Secretary Interior in a high profile NAB case.
• 2020: Managing Partner of AKAZIM Advocates & Legal Consultants and SIAA LLP (a strategic advisory firm)
• 2018: Appointed as Judicial Rapporteur by the Law & Justice Commission of Pakistan for the 8th Judicial Conference held
under the sponsorship of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
• 2015: Participated in various NEPRA hearings and consultative sessions, including tariff and licensing hearings and
workshops and new regulations for the entities involved in re-sale/re-distribution of electric power after obtaining one point
bulk supply from distribution companies.
• 2014: Participated in SECP Consultative session on limited liability partnership.
• 2012: Awarded Certificate in International Law for participation in the short course held by the Research Society of
international Law (RSIL) and ABS & Co., Advocates & Corporate Counsels.
