Iftikhar Ahmad Bashir is an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. During his professional career, among other positions, he served as
Group Legal Head Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL). Mr. Bashir carries vast experience in legal matters of the telecom
sector not only in Pakistan but internationally as well.
Mr. Bashir was also part of the expert group that worked with the foreign consultants, hired by the GOP, during the study of the Pakistan
Telecom Sector and the Government’s De-regulation Policy. He has also been on the panel of Legal Experts of the International
Telecommunication Satellite Organization (ITSO) Washington DC, the USA from 2002-06. He also remained an Independent Non-Executive
Director on the Board of various Companies.

Accomplishments:
• Group Legal Head to Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL),
• Handled the affairs of PTCL’s subsidiaries (Pakistan Telecom Mobile Ltd (Ufone), Paknet Ltd, Carrier Telephone Industries (CTI),
Telephone Industries of Pakistan (TIP)),
• Director Legal & Corporate Affairs at Wi-tribe Pakistan Limited,
• Legal Experts Panelist for the International Telecommunication Satellite Organization (ITSO), Washington DC from 2002-06,
• Group Expert appointed by Government of Pakistan for study of Pakistan Telecom Sector and the Government’s De-regulation Policy,
• Worked as an expert with the foreign consultants, M/s McCarthy & Analysis Consortium, in telecom sector,
• Independent Non-Executive Director at the Board of various Companies including M/s Cherat Cement Company Limited for more than 8
years.
